Frequently asked questions

Why is my icemaker not producing ice like it should?

Low water pressure in the waterline will effect the amount of ice your refrigerator will produce. More than often, you have a failed valve. We find DIY lines that use needle valves that are guaranteed to fail. We will cut out and replace your old valve with a quarter-turn ball valve. You will be producing ice in no time!

I smell gas behind my stove, can you help me?

Old gas valves are notorious for leaking. Our licensed plumbers will test for leaks in the gas line, we can put in a new gas valve if we find that is needed.

I have a washer box, can you just change the hot water valve?

It depends on your washer box, often we have to put in a whole new washer box. Our plumbers will recommend changing both the hot and cold- if one has failed the other side is shortly behind.

My garbage disposal is making a humming noise but not spinning, what do I do?

There may be some type of debris that has seized the motor. Our plumbers can remove and unseize the blades. Do NOT stick your hand down without having the power off to the unit.

Why do I get a sewer gas smell when my washing machine is draining?

Sewer gas smells correlate with the drainage system. You may have a small blockage in the drain line or a weak venting system.

Why does water back up into my dishwasher when I run my sink?

Often times the dishwasher line is tied into the garbage disposal. You might have a bad garbage disposal or a clog in the kitchen drain line. Our plumbers can snake the drains or clear out any obstructions in the drain system.
